The Collections of Saint-Cyprien
Saint-Cyprien will surprise you by offering, in the maze of little village streets, an unmissable visit to the Collections of Saint-Cyprien.
The Collections of Saint-Cyprien offer atypical and ambitious exhibitions giving residents and visitors access to prestigious works of art.
The Collections are certified as "Famille Plus" and offer workshops and artistic activities to young members of the public throughout the year.
A unique collection of works
The Collections of Saint-Cyprien present paintings of the 19th (E. Boudin, School of Barbizon) and 20th centuries (several important works by Utrillo, Marquet and Modigliani).
These works are enriched with temporary exhibitions and feature works by François Desnoyer. Born in Montauban, François Desnoyer drew inspiration from Cézanne and Gauguin but remained open to the influences of fauvism and cubism. After a stay in Sète, he created a foundation in Saint-Cyprien in 1972 with a collection of more than 700 works and all his personal archives (artists' books, monographs of painters and others...), constituting the Collection Desnoyers.
