Come to the Parc de la Prade in Saint-Cyprien to discover 6 fun awareness-raising stands.
- The Ortaffa honey cooperative
This activity, supervised by a professional beekeeper, will include a theoretical part on the presentation of bees, their role, the organisation of the hive, observation of the honeycomb and honey production. This will be followed by a practical section on making beeswax candles.
The aim is to teach as many people as possible about this fascinating insect and how to protect and respect it.
- The Labelbleu association
The Parc de la Prade has 3 ponds, where many insects thrive.
The organisers will be running a workshop on preventing the health risks associated with tiger mosquitoes, ticks and processionary caterpillars.
- The Hill of Dreams
After a brief exploration of the different plants found in the Parc de la Prade.
Make and discover plant-based paints.
- Eveil Rando
Using games, young and old alike will marvel at the wealth of life in our beautiful Mediterranean. They'll discover the diversity of cetaceans. The dangers of plastic pollution for marine ecosystems will be highlighted with a game on how long it takes for waste to degrade.
And for those with creative minds, there will be a cyanotype workshop on the theme of the sea.
- Little seeds on the move
Enjoy the sweet scent of the aromatic herbs that grow around the Mediterranean.
A game of recognising the scents of different plants will encourage us to take an interest in these pleasant smells, and another game will link each plant to its own culinary and medicinal virtues. Then everyone will be able to make a plant weave.
In addition to these activities, other fun games based on the environment of the Parc de la Prade will be available, so that everyone can share a pleasant and convivial moment.
- Mother Nature" land art workshop
Take part in a family land'art workshop and create an ephemeral artistic creation using natural materials collected in the Parc de la Prade.
This land'art workshop is supervised by the cultural animators of the Saint-Cyprien Collections.
